David Adeleke arrested for providing wrong information regarding Dagbo’s death

Investigation into the death of Dagbo Umeke, friend of hip- pop artist, David Adeleke , popularly known as Davido, took a different dimension Wednesday, following his arrest, upon discovery that his statement was laced with falsehood.

Davido , during investigation, reportedly told investigative team at Lion Building division , Lagos Island , that he was not at Shisha bar , from where the deceased was rushed and dumped at the Lagos Island General Hospital. Davido in his statement also said that he had left the bar , for DNA night club in Victoria Island area of the state, from where he was informed about Umeke’s death. But when briefing journalists on the update of the investigation, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police command, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed that preliminary investigation showed that late Umeke was rushed to the hospital on David’s instruction.
